FAQs

What are the advantages of online tuition?

Every minute counts:  no time is wasted - no travelling required and students are ready to work from the start of the zoom call to the end.

Review: pre and post lessons students can access the recordings of the lessons to review at leisure and the collaborative whiteboard is accessible at any time.

Resources: All previous work and resources are available to review in lesson and out of lesson at all times. Using a computer allows access to all the resources the internet has to offer in real time.

Enhanced communication: Parents included in every communication, students can refer back and check tasks set and instructions given at any time. Progress can be monitored closely by all.

Safe: zoom is fully encrypted and I have a waiting room for each zoom meeting so can control exactly who enters the meeting and when. All meetings are recorded.

What is Included?

All students are different, therefore I offer different services to suit your needs. This may be done through 1-1 online tuition, or small group online lessons.

My virtual classroom is set up through audio & video zoom chat, file sharing and interactive whiteboards which both myself and the tutee can write on and see the others marks in real time.

Lessons range from 30-60 minutes, depending on age and students' needs. Afterwards students receive a link to a video recording of the zoom meeting, as well as the copy of the shared interactive board. To ensure the most effective progress homework is given after every session. Detailed written feedback, including regular question level analysis of exam questions, is given for every piece of homework.

Do you offer a free trial lesson?

Yes, I offer a free introductory 20 minute meeting to introduce myself, learn more about your situation and assess your requirements and talk about what you will need.

  • Fairly stable internet connection

  • Webcam (often integrated)

  • Microphone (often integrated)
